I find myself unable to sleep at night, knowing that this June I will be applying for that position I've waited for for almost 4 years, a shot at entering dental school. Last night I had so much on my mind, a meeting with the dean of admissions here at UF, DAT coming up, and contemplating how I can possibly mess up the interviews which will be coming this fall.
Anyone else feel in this position?
Also, I'm beggining to second guess my volunteering capacities...I volunteer once a week at the dental clinic here at our med school and will begin to volunteer in private practice this December. I'm scared...I need reassurance guys!

i felt the same way spring semester last year, just wait until your also dealing with letters of reccomendation and writing your essay. all i can say is stick with it, be organized and get stuff done early so that this time next year, you will be first in line to have it all pay off 😀

If you are as on top of the game as you sound, you should have no problems come next year. Your volunteer experience is great, keep studying for the DAT, make sure that you have your LOR all lined up, and get that application out early. You will be just fine. I was in your situation this time last year and I know what you are going through - hang in there! 👍

Thanks for the support guys! I'm currently getting all my LORs in order, (2 from sci professors, 1 from a dentist) and possibly more...congrats to all accepted!

dexadental,

you cannot worry about everything this early. trust me, your worries will come but at this point you just need to focus on working on your DAT preps and your statement letter.

good luck to you.
