Long time lurker here. Can anyone explain to me how Dr. Cox on Scrubs may be based off on WS?

It seems like their "characters" have little in common (and that really is a complement).

I can't imagine WS treating any intern like Cox does to JD or Dr. Cox ever indulging his "feminine" side.

What am I missing?😕

As the story goes, several years ago a writer posted on SDN that he was working on an NCB pilot tentatively called "Scrubs" and wanted stories for the scripts. I sent him a few admittedly sarcastic comments and PMs, and then lo, several months later "Scrubs" appears with the character of Perry Cox.

It was thought that those sarcastic comments were the basis for the character. After all, Perry isn't really mean through and through (as later seasons showed).

That would not work in my case. In the office, I am wearing my white coat when doing procedures and more often than not, very high heels (although not boots in most cases). Many of the local female surgeons here also do the same.
