At my school, we were told that it is okay to continue asking questions during the physical exam. And this was in fact encouraged so as to conserve time. For example, ask the HPI during the interview, then ask about PMH, SH, and FM during exam maneuvers. I get the impression that this is not recommended for the real CS exam.
Will we get points taken off if we did this? Will the questions asked during the physical exam count? Would love to hear what people's experiences have been and what you guys think!
Thanks guys!

Something in the guidelines mentioned that it was okay to ask questions during the physical, although they suggested that you maintain eye contact while talking to the patient.

You might take a hit. Probably not worth it to do whole chunks of the medical history during the physical, although you're probably safe asking a couple of hypothesis-driven questions during the physical if you think of them.
