Hey Guys,
So PTCAS has been sent out, and now supplemental apps to do. Applied to some CSU, which has supplemental application of graduate programs applied through CSU mentor. It asks the usual background and personal information, along with school and work. But there is also the reference and personal statement category. Its asking for references information and letter to the department. But letters are already submitted to PTCAS, do we ask them again to send it separately? Or we just fill in the information (name, address, contact, etc.) of reference and leave as is for PTCAS to send the letters. And for the statement, it ask us "what is your reasons for pursuing graduate or postbaccalaureate study." Would we have to answer it? It indicate if we sent it to the department we can input "Statement already sent to department." But technically its sent through PTCAS, but not exactly the same question. This is similar to UNLV supplemental application, but it indicated we don't have to fill in the category of work, references, and statement (just leave blank); the fact its in PTCAS already. CSU mentor haven't mention info like that, or i haven't found it yet.

So does anyone who went through the process or attended the program went through this? How did you do it? Leave it blank? Went through the hassle of asking professors and falculty again? (I hope not 🙁) Please let me know. It will be greatly appreciated.

When filing out my 2ndary supplementaly apps I have been calling the PT dept for instructions regarding the same issues you have. Each school is different so take the time to ask them. One school told me to just enter the refer info of two that matched the PTCAS LORs and another told me to go ahead and skip the reference part on the grad application. I feel better that we have the same questions, sure there are a bunch of us and they get a bunch of calls. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hey litlwarrior, What CSU school did you called? I just called CSUN and they told me to hold off from completing the CSUmentor until you know you receive notice of being accepted, waitlisted, or close in being admitted; so that we wouldn't waste time or money. Since their CSUmentor is not due until late April, which she said we should be given notice of our status by late feb to march. Then we apply 😛 I try calling csulb, csufresno, and csu sac but they busy at the moment. Let me know what school you call when you get the chance 🙂

I was able to submit CSU Mentor Apps for the applicable DPT schools except CSULB where you can't get past the first screen because thaey don't have DPT or MPT asoociated with the campus.

I hear you on the cost, I am eligible for a fee waiver so I went ahead and submitted.

Sorry, it wasn't any CSU schools.......just others I had encountered 2nd app issues that were similar--UNLV was one.
