CSU's disadvantaged circumstances section

Would anybody be willing to proofread and make suggestions on my "disadvantaged circumstances" answer for CSU's supplemental application? I'm trying to explain why I dropped out of high school and got off to a rough start in college, but I'm not sure if it sounds too bitter or too whiney.

I has the same concerns when writing that portion of my CSU application, but it seems to have paid off for me. Don't worry about others thinking it is too whiney or bitter, use this as a chance to explain how you overcame adversity and how it has made you the person that you are. Good Luck
