Can anyone recommend a good way to study the radiology images for step 1? Is there a good review book out there, or a website worth looking at? I feel particularly weak in intepreting these sorts of images, so any help would be much appreciated!

I think that honestly, the best way to prepare for this is to know the major images (SAH, epidural bleed, masses/AAA on CT). I got ridiculous pictures that many times had nothing to do with the question. I got the same gross dissection of a kidney for 3 separate questions in 3 separate blocks and the picture was not necessary for the question each time. One was a cross sectional drawing of a 4 day old embryo with a question about embryologic derivation, but it was a pic I had never seen before anyway.

With that said, webpath is a pretty good resource, although I didnt find the graphic questions too challenging.

films on step 1 will mostly , if not all want to know if you know anatomy in crucial places, such as brain/circle of wilis, neuroanatomy locations and effects of lesions, difficult vascular bifurcations (abdomen) i.e celiac/splenic arteries, ect.
film anatomy should not be that clinical on step 1, if may sound very complex but will mostlikely be basic.

neuroanatomy (Haines Atlas) absolutely golden
all other anatomy, look at a CT of the abdomen, know major branches off the aorta/SVC, regular chest Xray vs. pneumothorax vs tension pneumothorax, cardiomegaly, and overinflation in pt w/ emphysema. i doubt they would give you something more clinical than that. then if you have time , after you have exhausted all other subjects, come back to the anatomy films, you'll get 5-7 film questions max, if that.

HY gross is good. I hear neuroanatomy MRS has a good neuro imaging atlas as well.
