No, they most certainly do not accept 90% of instate students. They are VERY selective when it comes to GPA. If you don't have over a 3.5, then they will probably throw your app in el garbagio. I think there average cum GPA is around 3.8. Their DAT scores are however quite average. As long as you are a Colorado resident, or WICHE, and your gpa is high and DAT's are at least average, you have a great shot, unless you are a minority, in which case it may be a bit easier. If not, apply elsewhere just in case 😀 .
It is an excellent school with a small class (~50-60) and cheap instate tuition (~15K/year not including fees and other school expenses). They really focus on community service and you'll get a lot of exposure to a multitude of procedures due to the lack of specialities (except for ortho, which is run by OEC, which is definitely no good, and pedo, which is at the childrens' hospital in Denver). 3 years ago their stats were as follows:

-140 applicants for 28-30 instate positions
-60 applicants for 14-18 WICHE positions
-~750 applicants for between 0-3 out of state positions :scared: :scared:
-Average cum GPA 3.72
-Average Science GPA 3.5
-Average DAT ~17-18

These figures next year will be severly inflated, as they will be 4 years old by then. Everyone that I know here in Colorado that has been accepted there has had 3.7+ cum GPA's.

The nice thing however is that they do not require a supp app fee until they contact you. At least they don't make you pay to be kicked you in the nutz.
