Hey everyone ! I was wondering if anyone knew of a way, or a a website, anything to maybe help yourselves figure out your cumulative GPA's and science etc. The reason being that I have a bachelors degree with loads of extra credits that weigh down my GPA, and I am currently enrolled in a CLS program at another university (science based) where my grades are better then my undergrad and will be counted towards my last 45 and overall GPA. I just want to make sure I make the cut for being able to apply if this makes sense. I am a bit confused on how vet schools look into the overall GPA with people in my situation, lots of credit that weigh down GPAs and doing a masters or post bach. When I say extra credits that weigh by GPA down is that while in undergrad, I wasn't sure what I was majoring in so I started at a community college where they had their own credits they wanted to obtain the associates, and I didn't need them for my four year degree, and when i transferred to the four year university, I took classes on my degree plan. How exactly do the schools calculate the overall like that ?

I can't answer all of your questions, but I've always used this website for calculating and found it to be very accurate! College GPA Calculator

You cumulative GPA includes every course you’ve taken beyond high school. Though I’m not sure how grades from like a technical school would factor in (that would be best answered by schools you’re interested in if that applies to you). Science GPA is super variable depending on the school - some use all sciences (biology, physics, chemistry, animal science, etc) whereas others use a prereq GPA that only includes gen bio, gen chem, o-chem, genetics, biochem, etc. There are also some schools that use the highest grade if a course is repeated and others that use both. There’s also Wisconsin that uses your cumulative GPA up to your first degree in their admissions decision so post-bacc classes wouldn’t factor into that. Your best bet is to do a little digging around on the websites of the schools you think you want to apply to so you can get more specific information. And if that information isn’t posted, email them.

Going off of this, they do look at last 30(?) semester credits, so your post-bacc courses would be looked at there.
