Since many of us have interviews coming up I thought it might be a good idea to post current events so we sound smart (yay!) in interviews. I'm primarily interested in large animals/public health and some wildlife so I was planning on researching antibiotic use in food animals, bioterrorism, and diseases. Any other ideas or suggestions for other people?

They've mostly petered out, but there's a few good links on there to websites that send out daily emails on current events (like the AVMA SmartBriefs or DVM360). I've been subscribing to the smartbriefs for a while, and then I also plan to brush up on any location specific issues once I start finding out where I'll be interviewing.

I've looked at those but thought they weren't very thorough or were outdated. I'll keep trying to find resources though, thanks for your help =)

Many schools also have e-newsletters and/or publications that include relevant current events 🙂
