The title of the thread pretty much covers it. I'm currently an intern in one specialty--I graduated on time, no interruptions, and I've since changed my mind about which specialty I want to pursue. I'm reapplying in the the new specialty while still an intern at my current program. Should I mark "yes" to the question asking if my medical education/training was extended or interrupted?

I guess it will technically be extended by one year by my current training if I match in the new specialty, but as of now it hasn't been extended or interrupted in any way. Hence my confusion. Insight is appreciated.

Answer no. Your training to date has not been extended for any reason- you will complete intern year on time.
