Any practicing dentist using Curve Dental cloud based software, please share your experience. Dentrix is just way too expensive for me. Comparing Curve Dental vs iDentalSoft vs Practice-web.
Any of you folks using other software, please share what you like and don't like?

Why would you go cloud based rather than server based? The problem with cloud based is multiple layers of failure that you don't have immediate control over, either your internet goes out or server side issues. If the internet went out and you had a backup cellular network, you can bet that it is going to be slow af. Also, there is a perceivable lag when it comes to cloud-based. Gets really annoying if you're used to instant on-demand "snappy" response times on your PMS and/or imaging software. Also, think of the recent healthcare/dental companies being targeted recently, such as Schein.

My reasoning was not to have to bother about maintaining a server and have an IT person or team and keep the costs down. Plus these cloud PMS also handle the billing as they have contracts on their end with Dental Exchange or Dr Direct.
