Finally what is the mechanism of Cushing reflex ?
From BRS physiology i remember it as chemoreceptor mediated whereas newest 2012 errata gives it under the heading of baroreceptor reflex

it's both. the central chemoreceptors detect an increase in PCO2 due to the compressed vessels, which causes a reflexive increase in sympathetic tone. The baroreceptors sense this and decrease the HR.
