I'm sorry if this is answered before but I can't seem to find an answer-

If you have been working on a research project intermittently over the past 3 years, how do you put the dates on your CV?

Basically I started helping a PhD student friend with his research 2 years ago, once or twice a month he sent me some data to analyze. The summer of 1st year I spent 2 months in his lab working full time. After that I went back to intermittently helping. 2 years after wards the paper has finally been published with me as 2nd author.

How do I put that on my CV in terms of the dates... can I put 2011-2014? I'm just wondering if that implies I was full time but I wasn't, not even part time for most of it.

You played the role that you played, doesn't matter if it was full time or not. I think that 2011-2014 is fine. Just my opinion.

OK that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks!
