For one of my DO apps they ask for a Resume/CV...is either more appropriate than the other? Will my resume do fine as long as it includes what they ask?

A CV might be better, but if your resume has all that they are asking for, it is probably better labeled a CV 🙂 Is this for Midwestern?

If this is for Midwestern, I went with a resume; I spoke to a career services assistant at my undergraduate university and received help redrafting it to meet their expectations. They work with resumes and CV's a lot; that being said, she seemed to suggest that CV's were more for international or academic positions. Either way, I landed an interview with a resume 😀 It's nice to have action words and adjectives to bring light to somethign that would otherwise be boring, IMO.

I would go with the CV, because it allows you to detail your activities better than the resume. You want to be able to stick out from the application pool, and if you just reiterate everything that was on your primary app, you won't stand out. This will allow you to be more descriptive.

If it's for Midwestern, I also agree a CV is better and heard from some current students that they actually prefer it to be 3+ pages, hence the added detail that just a resume wouldn't have.

Well I guess thats a big oops for me, I used a resume

I called it a CV, but it was more résumé-ish, if you ask me. Exactly two dense pages (maybe some wouldn't call it a résumé, then?). Worked out just fine. 👍
