I am trying to enroll but having a hard time.

I know you are supposed to go to this site: https://m1.melloninvestor.com/mellonone/index.jsp

Then enter your "CVS-SSN". When I do this, it can't get access. Can someone help?

Also, does anyone know where I can get information (e.g, tax implications) on "hardship withdraw" for buying a house? Thx!

first choose "do not have personal ID".
then enter "cvsSSN" without the -dash.
then enter your pin.

where do you get your pin? is cvs supposed to mail it to you?

yea i ran into the same problem. i never got the pin mailed to me, but other ppl did. and other ppl get like a 1000$ worth of stock as well. but if you dont have the pin from the mail, you can call them and they'll reset and re-mail it to you. this may take over a week? so to beat the deadline for the upcoming offer period, ask them to enroll for you.

cvs stock option plan is after-tax right? has anyone withdrew money from it to buy a house? know anywhere i can find information about this?

correct me if im wrong, but i believe your contribution is utilized first. then what remains from that gets taxed. so say your paycheck is 3,000. and you invest 15%, which is 450. that much from each paycheck will go to buy the stock. the tax amount from each paycheck is 3,000- 450, so $2,550 is the reported income that will be taxed from your paycheck.

while the ESPP allows you to invest and possibly profit, by withdrawing money for whatever reason (hardship? buy house?) you simply sell your stocks and take the money and spend it however you like. you're probably thinking of taking a loan from it for hardship withdrawal etc. and you're probably thinking of 401k future fund. not ESPP.

Don't confuse options with ESPP. They are different,

Has anyone withdrawn money from CVS stocks due to "hardship" to buy a house? What's the penalty? Does anyone know where I can find more information on this?

Any advice on a reasonable percentage to contribute?

We are allowed to contribute from 1% to 15% of our eligible pay in after-tax payroll deductions.

This DOES NOT apply to stock options. This applies to ESPP.

if you don't have a pin, just call them and they will immediately enroll you. They will ask for your social security number, your % (1% thru 15%). Everything is recorded so that will confirm you are enrolled.

I do have a PIN (just got it in the mail yesterday).
but on etrade, I don't know how to navigate to enroll. Might have to use phone i guess.
