So I have a career fair coming up and had to do a pre-screening test to get the interview. However, I got an email that i did not pass. I think that this is strange because I though I did good. I am a good student with a good CV. So my question is did I really not pass the exam or is that saturation that bad right now?

I think you may have not passed. I got an email the next day to schedule the interview.

I had a friend fail that test. You have to answer the questions keeping in mind that they want someone outgoing, team player, etc etc. You can't answer questions with "I hate working in a group and everything frustrates me to the maximum degree".
