i hope you r right, also does anyone know if its possible to only work 15 hours at cvs or do they insits on full time?

Ok so you say they are cutting hours, so why wouldn't they let you work less?

i was learning to speak english so i could get into pharmacy school , if i had known my pharm school didn't even do interviews, i probably wouldn't have worried so much lol 🙂

Uhh you have to know english to do well in pharmacy school and be able to help a variety of patients at a pharmacy? (you can't hang a sign on the door saying "only come in if you speak the language of pakistan")

I am not going back because i got married to an american pakistani man who i will never leave . as for the comment about me being close to 26, i am only 22 . i know most of my american friend graduate when they will be 26/27/28 but we had accelerate highschool in pakistan . i plan on working for a good retailer, which obvioviusly is not cvs and then after i am exposed to it, i will buy a pharmacy in a pakistani neighboorhood my husband thinks this is a great idea because i am a buisness woman at heart, i could hire a couple of pharmacist who speak my language and open in the devon area and sit back and manage. i am very excited but you have to go into a retail setting thinking you will be with them long terms, thats how i do things.. even if i plan on leaving in 2-3 years. everyone please relax like i said before, everyone will have a job in their life, but i was just concerened pharmacy is going to be disappearing soon.. a lot of my preceptors have said the same thing. believe we have the lobbyist already pushing to make it legal to dispense without a pharmacist. please only intelligent replies, i dont like the nonsense comments i am getting back . 👍

If your a business woman, you'd understand that big businesses don't just disappear suddenly, there's usually notice to employees.

does anyone feel like cvs is going under and that it is a horrible idea to accept a job offer?? i have heard they close over 50 stores in the chicagoland area . i was thinking that walgrees is the way to go to secure my future as a pharmacist. i was told they play totally unfair with pharmacist and give the "good" stores to the people the "like." anyone else feel this way? people are telling me to run far away and i am so TORN.

Are you kidding?? CVS=walgreens in terms of evilness. Its all the same crap. sick people and drive thrus!! Only walgreens doesnt have that annoying man telling you you have a phone call or drive up call!Its all the same.

I think the best solution is for the OP to go back to Pakistan. Obviously the OP has good inside information pharmacy is on the way out here in the US. Maybe we should all move to Pakistan.
