CWRU (OOS) vs. OSU (OOS)

Case Western:

Pros:

• One of my best friends will be a D3 when I start, will have easier time adjusting bc of this
• Better clinical
• Better technology
• Cheap area to live
• Smaller class size

Cons:

• $406k just tuition
• Not recognisable school
• Heard bad things about faculty and school environment ??
• High crime rate

Ohio State:

Pros:

• $130k cheaper in tuition (after IS residency after 1 year)
• Fun area to live in, tailgates, football
• Great school environment
• Good service opportunities

Cons:

• Not as good clinical experience?

Both schools are the same distance from where I live. Any advice would be appreciated! Also please try to talk about the quality of the school instead of the cost difference, I just want to be able to compare the schools more. Thanks!

Go to ohio state, 130K is a lot more than you think, OSU carries a bigger name, and I've heard better things about the school.

Columbus is a fun town as well.

Go to OSU. The Case students here don’t get a great training experience. The local dentists I work with who went to OSU are excellent!

Didn't Ohio State open their new clinic recently? How did they compare with Case's newer clinic? I can't believe the technology is that much different.
