Hello,

I am a prospective D.O. student. I just finished my undergrad and was a transfer student at a local CC before I transfered to UCLA. I received a C in a calc based Physics class I took at my local CC. Now that I have graduated, I wish to retake this at another CC but I have no idea whether this second course will count as a replacement when I apply.
Here are the course descriptions:

Elec Magnetism 4.00 units (this is the second course in the Physics for engineers series at my old CC)
PHY-4B-32439
Description
The study of mathematical law describing the electro- magnetic interactions between bodies.

New course I wish to retake: Physics for Med/Life Sci II 4.00 units
PHYS-30B-71609
Description
Prerequisite: PHYS-30A. Course is designed for students majoring in a life or medical science, or engineering technology, whose university major requires calculus-based physics. Simple harmonic motion in spring-mass systems and pendulums. Fluid properties as explained by Archimedes' Principle and Bernoulli's Equation. Thermodynamics, including temperature, heat and heat transfer, ideal gas law, and the differential form of the first and second laws of thermodynamics. Electricity and magnetism, including electric force and field, electric potential energy, potential, capacitance, resistance, electromotive force, magnetic force and field, and Faraday's Law. Inductors, with induced electromotive force presented as a derivative of flux. Power, intensity, and loudness of sound waves. Interference, diffraction, and geometrical optics of light waves.

I'm assuming this course would NOT count because it is a broader take on Physics and it's usually taken by pre-health students, unlike the first course. ANY help/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

Pretty certain it won't count. But go to assist.org. It will tell you equivalence a within all Cali Schools.
