If you have a whole year, I would suggest TestingSolutions guide on here. I did half of it, and it raised my CARS score 2 points.

-Start reading articles on this website daily: Arts & Letters Daily
-Find a technique that works for you. I originally tried the EK method and the Testing Solutions method, but they didn't work for me. I began to use aggressive highlighting and this bumped up my practice exam scores from 124 to 129.

Going to take the MCAT next summer but hammering CARs because I got 600/800 on the SAT and didn't get into a top 20 university. I think I'm stupid. What is the best way to improve CARs. I have been doing Jack's daily + a few other newspapers and hammering EKs and Kaplans passages. Is there any tips to improve? Kaplans seems reasonable but I always run out of time writing down Main ideas and I am doing super poorly on EKs CARS passages.

Running out of time may indicate your test-taking strategy is sub-optimal; maybe you ought to 'reverse-engineer' the process by looking at the answers/explanations 1st, to see how the potential questions are derivative from passage. Obviously you can't do this exclusively, but it might help you to prioritize/increase speed...
