To further clarify, I’m just worried that if vet schools are able to see that acceptance that it’ll raise a red flag on my application! I really hope that isn’t the case [emoji53]

When I was applying (all three cycles), there was a question on whether or not you had applied before. Not sure if that applies now.

I truthfully can’t remember if it was on last years application, I think it may have been. Do you remember if it asked about any acceptances if you have previously applied?

I applied the past 2 cycles. I have one application from each year saved, and they were for different schools. From what I can see, they ask if you have previously applied to schools through VMCAS, and if you answer yes then they want to know what years.

My first cycle I was accepted at Ross and rejected or waitlisted everywhere else I applied. I decided to decline my seat and then reapply, and I was accepted at my IS school.

I do remember multiple schools asking if you had applied before, but none asked if you had been accepted. Maybe if you say yes it asks but I wouldn't think so.
I was considering doing the same thing because I know how to improve my application, but I'm so scared if I do that and then don't get in anywhere the next cycle. 🙁

I chose to decline an acceptance & reapply a couple years back. I think there was a box I checked to indicate I had previously applied but no where had to state/was asked if I had been previously accepted. The only way it would have come up was if I personally chose to discuss it, but I did not. I was accepted to 3 schools the second time around and it was never an issue!

That’s exactly the route I want to take as well!! Thank you 🙂

Yeah I totally understand I’m in the same position 🙁 at the end of the day whatever’s meant to be for us will be!! Good luck 🙂

Okay awesome thank you so much!!

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone has an idea if vet schools can see any prior acceptances? I was accepted to Ross’ January class but I was thinking about deferring until May. With doing this, I was also interested in reapplying again this cycle as I have a lot of ways I want to improve as an applicant and see what happens. I’m just unsure if other vet schools would be able to see that deferring/acceptance?
Ross will presumably ask for a reason for deferral and my inclination is they would not be flexible in this situation. You can always try, but food for thought.

Yes I did see that it can be difficult to get deferrals if it’s not for a exonerating circumstance such as a medical issue. I guess it’s worth a shot though [emoji53]
