I just realized that AMCAS removed all formatting from my research experiences essay. So, now all four of my separate research experiences are clumped together into one huge piece of mega text. What the #@&*%#$???

Did other people experience this too? I just noticed today, but it annoys me because I don't know if med schools will interpret that as my failure to list my experiences in a coherent order, or AMCAS's inability to not suck at life. 😡

Did you use Word to do your essay in? On the website it mentions that you should only copy and paste from notepad since formatting will be lost otherwise. Also, my advisor warned us against this. At the worst, you could mention in your secondaries about it if you really feel that they will care.

I did do it in word- but I made sure to go and fix essay in the AMCAS text entry box before submission. When I submitted, it should have been in paragraph form, even though there were no indents. Oh well, there's not a lot to do at this point.

Haha, ok, turns out I was freaking out for no good reason. The PDF format of my app. is correctly formatted. God, I'm suffering from anal pre-med syndrome 👎

Crap... the same thing happened to me too. I hope mine turns out ok.. before I submitted, everything looked fine!! I just went back and looked at my app and two of my essays were one giant block of text!! If it doesn't turn out ok, is there a way to fix it?

I freaked out because I wasn't looking at the PDF file version of the essays- make sure you look at that one. On the non-pdf file, my essays were just solid blocks of text, on the PDF file they were perfect (except for the initial tab on the first paragraph).

I had about 2 days where I thought med schools were going to think me incompetent before I figure that out 😉
