I just want to say that as a non-trad, I wish A+'s count for something more than a 4.0...since it would really help! I'm not saying that I have A+'s or anything though, I just wish there was a faster way to boost GPA😳...and to offset the A-!!!

Who thought of this grading system anyway...haha. By who, I mean AMCAS🙂 .

I am completely on this boat with you. I can't understand the +/- grading system for the life of me. You get penalized for an A-. but there is no benefit to the A+. What's even worse is the fact that there are many schools that do not use a +/- grading scale, so that if your school does, you are unfairly penalized in GPA comparisons. Grrrrrr....😡

This converting of pluses and minuses really irks me...

Basically at my university there is no 'formal' system ... upon looking at my
transcripts, out of about 186 credit hours, I have SEVEN MINUSES, and
NO PLUSES....the rest neutral. Pretty statistically unlikely....
Basically a few professors will give you a minus if you barely crossed the
line but they rarely give you the plus....and now I'm going to lose points
on my already mediocre gpa.....

oh well, que sera sera.....

Consider that A+ a little gold star that you can proudly show off to your parents 😀
