Guys/ladies, I got all of the questions right in both orgo and gchem, but received 30 and 27 respectively. Anyone knows why the maximum possible score in gchem is only 27? My results are AA 23 TS 26, used Destroyer and Achiever for few weeks, few hours a day...

I think the DATs are somewhat curve, and different participants get different versions of the test/questions of varying difficulties. On harder versions, missing one question would probably result in a score higher than or equal to that of an easier version, etc...but um, how do you know you got everything right?

I asked the officials after I took the test, they were nice enough to tell me how many questions I missed in the sciences...

Ohhhhh, believe me, I am very happy...considering I didn't study as much as I intended initially.

Really? Are you referring to the prometric center representatives?

I thought there is no way that they have access to the actual raw scores. I believe they can only print out the results that computer calculates.

Hm..........??? 🙄

Doc3232, I studied for about a month, on and off, going over destroyer and some kaplan practice tests in the blue book. BB is useless, you need Campbell for bio if you need to go deep. I did not study for bio much since I am a bio major and have 2 B's only... spend my time going over orgo and chem... used the ACS study guiedes I purchased at my school... All I can say is that I scored 17 on EVERY section of the 2nd Achiever test on Monday, 7/21... Almost rescheduled my test date, and go figure, Today I got AA 23... I would say know your basic consepts to a point when you can write essays about them. Keep reading your notes from your classes, I used my physiology notes and felt very well prepared... If you can, buy Destroyer from Orgoman, that thing is the BEST for g&o-chems, that's all I can say...

They told me I misses only 4 questions in bio... out of 100 science ones

you have got one question wrong in gchem. yes you can get a 30 in the Gchem. if uve have 4 wrongs, 1 is in gchem and 3 in Bio, youve probably got a 23/24 in Bio!

There are some doubters here, so could you please scan your scores. These people are very untrusting. I say good job and congrats.

I never thought prometric center representatives have an access to the raw scores.

Maybe I didn't know because I never asked.

Have you heard of such a thing?

There is no way you can get access to how many your got wrong. The only thing you can do is infer from your individual scores and your total science score how many you missed in each section. The only people that can go in to look into the test are the ADA representatives who actually make the test. Lets be serious, everyone here knows that the people at prometric were the most "by the book" people in America. There is no way that they magically said, " Oh, no problem, let me tell you exactly how many you missed in each section." If they did do anything, it was exactly what each of us would do; compare the Total Science score to the individual scores to see how many you missed.

I had no idea it was that easy. What am I doing here locked up in my room all day studying? I should be at the beach, where every couple of hours I put down my beer and skim through a few pages of the destroyer.

Flampard, I do not have a scanner handy, but I can post my scores and % in detail, here we go:

PA 20..................85.4%
QR 18..................75.8% I expected a 22 at least here, instead got hit W/ permutations and probabilities

RC 19.....................59.7% search and destroy strategy

Bio 22.....................95.7%
GC 27....................99.0%
OC 30....................100.0%

TS 26......................99.9%
AA 23......................98.3%

I was told by the reps that I have missed 4 out of 100 science questions for a 26 TS score. Well, with 22 in Bio, I think all 4 missed are from that section. Maybe the reps estimated my score from a chart? Either way, I do think that I might have missed 1 q in gchem...oh, well, I will try to ffind a scanner .

Here are my Achiever scores, I always looked to compare other peoples' performances on the Achiever and real thing:

Achiever 1 2 3

PA 15 17 16
QR 19 17 18
RC 18 17 did not take it
Bio 17 17 16
GC 17 17 15
OC 19 17 20
TS 18 17 17
AA 18 17 --

As you all see, I did not do well at all. I think Achiever is very, very difficult practice test, If one can score around 17-18 AA on it, should expect a 20+ on the real thing.

I have a BCP gpa of 3.87, and overall gpa < 3.5. Do you think I have a chance at the Cali schools and probably Columbia? I always dreamt about going to Columbia!
