Hello,
Pat/QR/RC/BIO /GC/OC/TS/AA
20/ 18/ 19/ 19/ 21/19/ 19/ 19
I'll try to avoid a wall of text.
I am an anthropology major with a minor in chemistry. I have completed nearly all my pre-reqs for dental school. I am applying this cycle. I have a 3.7 GPA and a 3.9 science GPA.
I didn't have several months to study like most people on these forums. My summers have always contained a full class load.
I studied for only 3 weeks. Unlike most SDNers my study habits cooled down as the test day approached, mostly because the Fall semester was really kicking into gear. With my time constraint in mind, I am very pleased with my scores and my only regret is not having more time.
Materials
Chads Videos- (Org, general, math) - He needs no more praise, an excellent source.
Khan Academy- The biology videos were very helpful. I never had biology in high school and I jumped into the "hard sciences" only a year ago. This helped me understand where the biological mechanisms are occurring.
Cliffs AP Bio- A solid source which was best read after viewing Khan's videos.
CDP- Just practice, it really does just click one day. For me, that was the day I stopped studying PAT because I was on a tight schedule and my other sections needed more work.
DAT Destroyer- An extremely valuable source, if you can do all the problems in this book you will be in good shape.
My thoughts on the DAT
Biology-
General Chemistry-
Organic Chemistry-
Perception Ability-
Reading Comprehension-
Quantitative Reasoning- (This one is actually accurate)
*In all seriousness, the best tool to prepare you for the DAT is doing well in the related classes. It makes studying much easier.
