phew. it was hard but i'm glad it's over.

stats:

Job shadowed dentist for 1.5 years, offered dental assitant position (now doing it for 3 months)

GPA: Science: 3.39 overall 3.41

research and volunteer at my church like 1000000 hours. (i'm sure loma linda would like that). let me know people =)

honest honest feedback please! be mean and compare my stats to ur dental school friends. will my 21 pat help? will my 17/16 kill me. help?

i'm from CA but i applied EVERYWHERE (15 schools - all CA and east coast). thanx!

Personally, I think the score is solid. Its not stellar, but its by no means bvad either. The 17 in bio might raise some minor concerns, but I think the 16 in QR shouldnt be a big deal.

In terms of GPA, I would say you are just slightly below average. I think you should be able to get some interview bites. Nail them and you are good to go!

thank u! AADSAS does it for u. if u go to ur application --status --i think and then gpa calculated..it should be there. it breaks it down for "overall, science, and bcp whatever th eheck that is

Re-take. Though scores seem to be lower this year, an 18 doesn't signify exemplary performance by any means. It is the national average, meaning any regular Joe who is willing to throw $100 down (is that the price now?) on this test is likely to score at the same level.

There is nobody by the name of Joe in my 1st year dental school class by the way.

Haha. Are you SDA? well, I, myself had volunteer hours of around 1000 hours at my church but got straight off rejection from Loma Linda (did not even offer me to fill out the secondary).
oh, my stats are 3.56/19,19,18 DAT by the way.
Maybe u'll have better luck since ur Cali resident. I heard that they give at least a little more preference to Cali residents.

no i am catholic. LLU e-mailed me to fax my DAT scores to them. I don' tknow. i'm reall ysad now. imean, people really really screw up the first time..like 12 and 13's.. and now a 18/19/21 doesn't cut it? wow..

anymore opinions is appreciated =).

and i don't mean like nice ones, i like criticism and whehter or not ur stats are similar to mine and maybe u got offered intereviews? thanx
