I'm going to keep this short. Overall, I'm satisfied with how I did. I tried and stayed calm the days leading up to test day, but that's easier said than done. The day before was just going over some notes/formulas/pictures (didn't do any problems) and was a chill day. Even got in 30 mins of basketball. I think it's good to dial back the studying a bit and put yourself in a good mood/state of mind.
How long I studied: About 7-8 weeks, probably 4-5 hours a day and then cranked it up a bit more in the couple weeks leading up to the test.
Study Materials: Chad's Videos, 2013 DAT Destroyer + Math Destroyer, Bootcamp, Feralis notes + my own A/P notes, 2007 DAT + 2009 DAT
I feel that all of these are a must.
Real DAT:
BIO section was pretty balanced and random. My only advice for this is to expose yourself to as much biology questions as possible.
GC: Not as many calculations as I expected (maybe 5-7, I can't recall). I think Chad's videos and Destroyer should cover everything you need for this section.
OC: Nothing too crazy, but I think I just blanked on a few questions and a few were 50/50. I wished I did better but I'm content. Didn't get any long multisteps.
PAT: I got those ugly boulder thingamabobbers (3 i believe, guessed and moved on). The rest was straight forward and somewhat similar to BC.
Break time: Ate my snack and drank some water and just relaxed. The toughest part was over in my opinion. I used up the whole 15mins and I thought it was very beneficial.
RC: All three articles were shorter than what I usually got on BC and they were all interesting to me so I felt I got lucky here. Questions were easier to S&D than the BC questions. I did the mapping method for about half the article and answered as I read. For the remainder, I just S&Ded it. I finished with a couple minutes to spare and reviewed some of the trickier questions.
QR: At this point, my brain was jello
but I kept thinking to myself "Only one section left, let's kill it!". Math destroyer definitely prepares you for this. I think if I didn't have to pee at the start of the section, I could have done slightly better. Time management is key here. I didn't have much time to review marked questions.
Thanks to everyone on here for being supportive. Best of luck to all you future DAT takers!
Below are my BC scores because I know it might be asked.
