I've studied so hard these past few months all of a sudden I'm scoring terribly when I was scoring so well before.

Every question I get wrong on Achiever makes me feel like I know nothing and my exam is in 8 days!! Can anyone suggest how to deal with achiever, i know it's much harder than the real test but i'm trying to not let it psyche me out 🙁

Post up your achiever scores and then Ill be able to tell you where you stand.

I was scoring 19-20 on Achiever and ended up getting a 23AA/22TS. Achiever is a beast, don't let it get to you. Just study the answers and retake the PAT and QR for speed practice.

Doing Achiever 8 days before an exam is a very, very bad idea. The test is supposed to demoralize you, as it is significantly harder than the actual exam. Expect a 4-5 point increase on the real test IMO. TopScore is a more representative program... I would stop doing Achiever. Not much is to be gained at this point for you, if anything it will hurt you.

Achiever is great with getting use to the actual test UI, but does not represent the actual test questions.

This is PRECISELY why I don't recommend that people do practice tests. You will ALWAYS be more focused during an actual testing situation. What you do with iTunes playing in the background and your legs propped up on your desk isn't how you'll perform on your test. It's worse.

I never did a practice test and lived to tell the tale. Don't let this psyche you out, and STOP doing them! Go into your test with confidence! 👍👍

I agree with Glimmer. I never did a full practice test (I did time myself on certain subjects beforehand) and only did a handful of Achiever PAT tests a couple of weeks before my test. I can only speak to the Achiever for my PAT score, but I scored 2-4 points lower on every Achiever test than my real PAT.

I suggest you do not do any more practice tests and just study and get the concepts down. On the real day, your adrenaline and focus will take over as your brain will know that it's not a "run through" but the real thing.

BTW, I got a 25 AA/26 TS/20 PAT without doing practice tests.

I agree with the above. I don't do practice tests. Just work questions in tests. Practice tests freak me out. I would do a section like reading to get used to the type of questions and timing. However, other than that, I don't do practice tests. I hope that will work out for me like it did for Glimmer and Tandem
