Hey guys just wandering for those of you who have used DAT Achiever and have taken the real DAT, what is a decent score on the Achiever? I know everybody says it is a little more difficult than the actual thing but I am consistently scoring 17 and getting discouraged.

Don't get discouraged! I took 4 Achiever tests and was averaging a 17 TS, 16 in biology and 17s in the chemistries. I took Achiever test 4 last week and did terrible, I almost rescheduled my real DAT but read that test 4 and 5 are an absolute nightmare so I didn't. I just took the real DAT yesterday and my TS score jumped 9 points! I was in total shock, but after each Achiever test I reviewed what I missed so I really think it's helpful to pinpoint your weaknesses. I would say you are in great shape! Just use it as a guide of what you need to work on because those questions are exponentially harder than anything you will see on the real thing. The PAT is very realistic, however, and I really liked the explanations the program gave. This is just my experience, but I've read that most people jump 3-4 points from the Achiever. Good luck! Hope this helps you 🙂

I literally jumped anywhere from 6-10 points from Achiever. The thing you need to realize is that Achiever is best used as a tool to focus on your weak points and for you to find what you need to spend more time on. Using Achiever as a gauge to measure how well you'll do on the real test will lead to depression lol. In my opinion, however Achiever is probably one of the best tools for preparation. BY FAR THE BEST FOR THE PAT. CDP sucks (in the sense that it doesn't truly prepare you since it gives you keyholes that are way easier and not representative of the real test).

My Achiever test scores ranged from 15-18 and had some outliers such as 23 in QR and 22 on PAT Test 7.

Actual DAT scores were
PAT 27
QR 24
RC 28
Bio 26
GC 24
OC 23
TS 24
AA 25

yeah i think achiever is definitely harder than real DAT but it is really worth to try it

i had ~20 TS for 3 achiever tests and got 28 TS on real thing.

Dang park what all did you use to study?

Here is what i used and what i did

Bio: used kbb, cliffs, and destroyer. i took notes using kbb and cliffs first. Then I did destroyer and added more notes on the concepts that i got wrong.

Chem:I am a chem major so i reviewed chem once using kbb and did destroyer questions

Orgo: reviewed once using kbb. Then I tried destroyer (I got many of them wrong). So i copied down all the reactions that i got wrong plus the road maps that destroyer have.

For last 2.5 weeks of studying, all i did was doing 3 achiever and 3 topscore practice test (Plus 2006 ADA). Again, i added more notes on the things that i got wrong. Lastly, I reviewed my complete notes twice before my exam date.

i recommend destroyer, topscore, and achiever. i believe it is really important to do a lot of practice problems because each company has different concept questions and you will never know what is going to be on the real DAT
