I took the DAT a few days ago and my results were absolutely terrible. I feel as though I may have rushed it due to the fact that I already submitted my applications for dental school this cycle. I've always been horrible with standardized tests. ( I was scoring in the 20s in all the science sections on bootcamp. qvault and topscore )

I obviously have to retake the exam but since I have to wait till November, that puts me late in the cycle.
My main concern is how this will affect my current applications that have already been submitted. Also how do I notify schools that I plan on retaking the DAT.
Overall I think I have a strong application minus the DAT. I have plenty of extracurricular that are dental related and held a job throughout undergrad.
My cumulative GPA is a 3.67
Science GPA is 3.54
I'm just curious how much of a disadvantage I've put myself in. Have I wasted my time and money applying early?
Any advice on what to do?
