I need help...i applied for class of 2012 and did not get accepted anywhere so i will be applying again. i took the DAT really late (dec) for the 2nd time and had gotten rejected by most schools before i took it.

my scores for the 2nd time around were..

PAT 17
Bio 20
Reading 21
G chem 19
O chem 16
QR 14
AA 18
TS 18

i know my QR and o chem are really low...but my bio, reading, and g chem are nice scores and im scared if i take it the 3rd time...those scores may drop. i will have my application complete alot earlier this time, but i really do not know if i should retake the DAT in june?

im graduating this semester with a degree in biology. my gpa is on the low side...with overall 3.3 and science of 3.1. i live in ohio

thanks for your help!

what were your first time scores? any EC's? A lot of schools have cutoffs for score your QR score will most likely eliminate you for consideration due to those cutoffs. I would study hard and retake the test. 3rd time's the charm

One more time. That 14 and 16 hurt. Since your GPA is on the low side no reason to risk losing a year. study hard and you should be fine just get that DAT score above average (IMHO).

Unfortunately, even one low score offsets multiple good scores. Since your GPA is low, you'll need all good scores to have a chance. Use your last opportunity to take the DAT wisely. How ever much you studied before, triple it. Don't do anything else but study; no classes, work, etc.

Your reading bio, chem and Pat are fine but the organic is kinda low. The math isnt the biggest deal but 14 is not great plus the low organic doesnt help. How do you feel our studying went? Did you feel 100% prepared or you felt lacking in Organic?
