DAT and Application Timing

When is is too late to take the DAT and still be 'competitive' for the 2010 application cycle? I am wating to finish Ochem 2 in august, then I was thinking of taking the DAT in mid august and apply. However, my advisor says it would be too late, and i would need at least a 20-21 to even get noticed as all the early apps would have flooded in by that point.

Complete your application now (June 1st), take your DAT August and you can still get reviewed. You will need a 20-21 late or early to have a solid shot anyway. It also depends on your GPA.
