DAT and applying

So I'm probably going to be applying to school BEFORE I take the DAT. Is this in any way advantageous for my chances for acceptance, or is this no different from applying on the day I take the DAT or after I take the DAT?

It's disadvantageous. Your application won't be even looked at until it has a DAT score.

Apply ASAP when the app opens. Don't wait until you're done taking the DAT, because then you'll have to wait even longer for your app to be processed and updated. Take care of it the week it opens.

A lot of schools will just ask for your unofficial scores too if you don't have a DAT score yet, so yes, they do look at your application when they receive it.
