So I think I've heard from 3 or 4 test takers that there is a lot of physiology or that physiology is super important for the Bio section this year. Will anyone care to elaborate as to the type of questions or the scope of topics that have been encoutered? I'm asking because while I've taken both Human Phys and Advanced Mammalian Phys, I'm not sure that I need to go in as deep as a 4000 level phys class in my prep...

cheers

Not for mine. The physiology questions were laughable. However, the "hard" questions were right up my alley. Nonetheless, if you have doubts, since there are several versions floating around...just take the time to skim the notes.

There are very few (~2 questions) that require highly specific knowledge. If you have already taken the advanced physiology classes, dont' sweat it any more than reading your notes.

I didn't take any advanced physio or histology classes, so I studied those subjects on my own day in day out. However, the "hard" questions on my test only required a basic understanding of the subject (which you will have if you didn't sleep through those respective classes).

Hope this helps, and remember...this isn't the bio subject GRE. Highly specific knowledge is more appropriate for a test of that nature.
