DAT, application timing

Hi,
I was wondering when's the best time to study/take the DAT and apply for dental schools during my undergraduate years. I am going to be a sophomore this coming fall. I want either this summer or next summer (between junior and senior year) to study before I take the exam. I also am hoping to take a DAT study course. I think that it would be tough to study while taking classes during the fall/winter, but does anyone have advice?
