So I just sent in an application, also paid $385 (hopefully this isn't a scam or anything...I was kinda suspicious cuz I was expecting to pay when picking the date of my exam...not when I submit an application...). They're not gonna make me pay another $385 are they? I'm sorry I'm just really new to all this.

but anyway, when can I expect an eligibility email? And what happens after that? Do they give me a code that I'm supposed to put in somewhere? Will I be able to pick my test center on that site?

I believe that is pretty normal. You did go to the prometric site right?

It is normal. They will send you an eligibility email and then you can go to www.prometrics.com to schedule your test.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that once you apply and send in your money, they then give you a DENTPIN that you HAVE to use in order to schedule your test. Am I right? Also, I think there isn't a time limit once you've paid your money for scheduling your test. I paid my $$ at the beginning of the summer and didn't register for my test until August. I picked a test date one week out from the day I registered.
You weren't scammed. 🙂

^I believe there is a time limit. I was only eligible to take mine within 5 months of paying for the test. Also, mine was only 360... did they raise the price???

6 month period once you pay, you have 6 months to pick a date

It has been going up. When I took the DAT 2-3 years ago it was only $265.
