Is this too late of a date? My apps are in, just waiting on LOR...of course. Hope I can still be competitive, and I really want to do well on this test.

I don't think it is too late so long as you score high enough to impress adcoms. The way I look at it though is that even if it is "too late" and you don't get accepted because of that fact despite having great scores because you waited longer, at least you got high scores. So even if they did reject you this year, you could still be a shoe in next year if your scores are good enough; something that wouldn't have taken place had you rushed the exam and scored low which would get you rejected both years. I think you're playing it safe by waiting until YOU feel confortable to take the exam. You never know though, you could still be competitive given the late deadlines to so many DS's.

Yeah I dont want to wait another year. I am applying to a few out of state schools with later deadlines

i took it 8/14 last year and was accepted to two schools first round...not too late at all

Hmm, had my 1st DAT on 6/23, it was devastating, so had to wait for 3mos for the 2nd round... My 2nd DAT will be on 9/29.
Will send all my applications in Next week.
Is 9/29 too LATE??

it isnt too late... many people take the DAT in august. just be sure you are prepared enough to take the test because you have to wait 3 months to retake .
