DAT BC vs. Real DAT

Just wondering how people felt about the difficulty of BC as opposed to the real DAT; for those who used BC and recently took the real DAT.

I am satisfied with my avg. in some sections but there are some where I wish I scored a point or two higher. (Bio + OC)

I just posted this on a similar thread earlier today. Overall, I would say it varies on the difficulty of the exam you receive. Generally the best "predictor" of what you will do is the 2009 ADA online practice exam. Good Luck!

My scores varied on BC versus my actual DAT. I used BC more as a practice than anything and used DAT Achiever as my full length test prep. The only things on BC I included as part of a full length tests were the RC and PAT tests since the DAT Achiever ones were pointless. Anyways, on BIO my scores were like 16 and 17 but on test 5 I got a 19. GC was 17/17/18/18/17, or something around that. I never got higher than 18. My OC was 18/18/21/21/18. My RC was 19/19/26/22/20. My QR was 17/17/18/20/less than 16. And my PAT for the last 5 tests which were the ones I took seriously were about 18/18/19/20/20. I may have had 2 19's and only 1 18 but you get the gist of it.
My Actual DAT scores were:
19/18/23/25/19/24.

Personally, I felt that BC was harder for the sciences and RC only. On par for PAT, and I don't have enough info for QR on BC.

I had read a ton before my test and was under the impression that the test would be easier than BC, but mine definitely didn't seem like it! It felt so hard, especially bio, gchem, and PAT, but i ended up with a scoring 3-4 points more per section on the real exam. Basically, it FELT like the real DAT SNS and Key holes on PAT were harder, but graded easier. QR and Reading were much easier on the real thing though

Good job on your test! How did your scores compare to your bc scores?

I got 1-3 pts higher in every section except PAT I got 6 pts higher BC is the best practice for it ! I got 2 pts lower in RC but because I spent way too much time on 1st 2 passages and had to guess last 8 questions. RC on BC is also great practice tho. Just always make sure you understand the ones you got wrong and why you got them wrong.
