Can anyone please explain this? I don't get what the link is between volume and surface area....

If a eukaryotic cell has a diameter that is 10 times that of a bacterial cell, proportionally how much more volume would it have?
A) 10 times the volume
B) 100 times the volume
C) 1000 times the volume
D) 10000 times the volume

Answer is C.

V= 4/3*pi*r^3

now plug in a 5 for r. Note the number
now plug in a 50 for r then note the number
the second number should be a 1000 times bigger.

i wish all bio dat questions were simple applications like this!
