DAT bio question

So i've been using the Schaum's biology outline to study for the bio part of the DAT and was just wondering if anyone who has taken the test could tell me how detailed the glycolysis part is on it. Obviously there are all different DAT versions, but I'm just trying to get an idea because this Schaum's section is extremely detailed. Do you think we need to know every single enzyme involved in every step? For instance phosphofructokinase and enolase? Thanks!🙂

not quite that much detail..but def know the 2 most important steps (forming of pyruvate) and the part where it splits into two compounds. also know that it occurs in the cytoplasm..doesnt require O2 and produces a net of 2 ATP (4 are actually produced..2 are used)

Yea what pbure said. Most intro bio courses to my knowledge don't go into glycolysis in detail until cell biology or biochemistry.

yea, blasted biochem!! i had to not only know all 21 AA structures (3rd day of class!!😱), classification (acidic, basic, charged, etc), names and abbriviations (3 letter and 1 letter), but i now have all that uselss crap of knowing all those enzymes for each step of cellular respiration...*sigh*...but i guess it will help once in dschool and for the boards....
