I just took my second bio test on DAT Bootcamp and I got an 18 both times 🙁
Is that normal?? I am on my first pass going through Destroyer and I have 100 questions left. I have also taken 7 tests on Qvault thus far. I feel like my score on Bootcamp is pretty low considering how much practice I've done! Am I doing something wrong?? Anyone have any suggestions??
My DAT is in 3 weeks.

Make sure you are writing down the questions of wrong/guessed answers, then look at the answers to the question as well as the answers you actually put and then studying the chapter/section they (both your wrong answer and the right one) are from in your reference materials. Then, make flash cards of everything in those sections that you feel "iffy" on and test yourself once or twice a day on it. Best advice I can give you. Bio is hard cuz theres a ****-ton of stuff to cover. Just keep studying and memorizing and GL

I would also take notes of everything you don't fully understand and what you get wrong because that helps a lot, especially when reviewing and taking practice tests. I only got a 19 once on DAT BC and that was my highest score. I struggled with Bio because it was so large of a subject, but I scored well enough overall so my TS was a 20. Just keep working and you'll be fine.

You have 3 weeks, you should be fine.

As long as you are not like me and taking all boot camp exams in less than a week before your exam. lol

I've read a recent post for a student who scored pretty decent on Bio and said that all the favor go to Destroyer! Most of the stuff they threw at him came pretty like Destroyer! So, if you feel like you have been overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in bio, I would short cut it using destroyer!

@daniho try to master to the destroyer and cliff notes, and then you should take the bootcamp exams to see where you are scoring. The destroyer will give you a great foundation.

Keep doing destroyer and bootcamp.

The only biology I studied was bootcamp and destroyer. I was scoring low on bootcamp. One time I got a 15. Ended up with a 19 on the actual test. The bio on the dat, at least my version, was very straightforward. Both destroyer and bootcamp were great for it.

To echo some of the responses, I would definitely go through destroyer bio at least once (if not twice if you have the time). Their questions are very specific and challenging, but it exposes you to a lot of information that you may have passed up during your initial reading. Make sure to read the solutions thoroughly and understand why each answer choice cannot be correct for that given question.

Bootcamp is a great way of assessing yourself and practicing under timed and scored conditions, so keep at those, as well. Like @bco99 , I had gotten a 16 on a biology section and ended up with a 19 on the actual test, so don't let the practice scores discourage you.
