I'm getting my butt kicked by these tests. I'm learning a lot after I go back and review the information but i'm scoring around a 15-16 on each one. Is this common? Makes me feel like I have a ways to go! I don't want to even attempt the DAT before I can consistently hit 20's across the board. Can any of you share your experience with the Bootcamp Practice tests before you took your DAT? Thanks

If you're struggling with Bootcamp, do NOT attempt Destroyer. I got a 16 on my first Bootcamp GC test. So, I studied more, did some Destroyer (frustrating as hell) and tried test 2. I got a 19, so same process. I got a 24 on test 3. Now I'm a Destroyer enthusiast, because it helped so much. Bootcamp is great for judging where you're at and the explanations are top notch.

I'll let you know on Tuesday how well all this translates to the actual DAT.

Oh I don't even bother with Destroyer. Their BIO and Math is ok but Organic and Chem are a little over the top it seems. Just going to keep chugging along!

Don't get discouraged by the first few scores because you're still in the process of learning/studying. You can only go up from here so keep pushing through. My first few bootcamp scores were lower than I wanted and to be honest, I didn't score over a 20 in any of the sciences except ONE Gen Chem exam. Out of the 15 (3 section x 5 exams = 15), only on Gen Chem exam 3 did I get a 23...but I was worried that I wouldn't score above a 19 on any of them. On the real exam, I scored a 21 or above in all the sciences! 😀

For me personally, I liked to use destroyer and Bootcamp together because I saved bootcamp exams for purely that...exams! Would take bootcamp exams as close to real exam conditions as possible. So between exams, I would study from destroyer. But that's just me 🙂
