I took the first three BC RC tests and I got a 18/16/18, and I always run out of time. I'm freaking out because my strategy seemed to work when I used Qvault (I'd get 22-25 on the tests). Which would you guys say is more representative of the real DAT RC section?

I skim through the passage very quicky while writing down key words that I thought might be important, and then I move on to the questions and use search and destroy

BC is slightly harder than the actual RC but it also depends on what you get test day. Practice reading the articles that Ari put up on DAT BC that should help.

What has been working for me is:

Reading first paragraph, then first sentence of every paragraph onwards, followed by reading the whole last paragraph. You number the paragraphs on a piece of paper and right one word summarys of what is in those (map tehnique). Go through the questions and search and destroy using your map. Map shouldnt take more than 5 minutes to make.

I had a harder RC on the actual test than on BC.. BC was more manageable for me. My RC had a lot of "general knowledge" questions..
