Hey guys, I just took the DAT and would like to share my experiences since it's still fresh on my mind.

Materials used:
Biology: AP Cliff notes, DAT Bootcamp, DAT Destroyer, Khan bio videos and Chad's free Bio quizzes.
Just like most of us, this subject is the one I feel like I could never be ready for. It's like there is a kazillion things I have to remember. Turn out, DAT destroyer was the most representative of the real DAT. At least three questions ( that i could remember) was word-to-word from the DAT destroyer.
My advice to you guys to to skim through the AP cliff notes, and then take the tests from either bootcamp and Destroyer, understanding each questions (especially the true for false questions from Destroyer), not just memorizing the facts. I found it really hard to learn dry facts from the AP cliff, the multiple questions make things easier to remember. Take notes of the are that you are struggling and go though Khan videos to clear thing out.
Reading comprehension: Science articles, DAT bootcamp.
Do not get stuck on a particular question! I can not stress this enough. Sometimes they will ask you such a detailed question that you won't be able to answer until the very last paragraph. Put on an answer and move on if you are not sure. Time is so essential for this part.
General chemistry + Ochem: Chad's videos DAT Bootcamp, DAT Destroyer, The general chemistry Destroyer
Chad's videos is best for review. Bootcamp is the most representative on the real thing, hands own! The best material for these nervous-crack subjects. I have done the tests from bootcamp for like three times. DAT destroyer is a little bit over-kill for this section, especially the chemical reactions are way bizarre than the real DAT. I feel like I have wasted too much time learning those reactions.
Quantitative Reasoning: DAT math destroyer,DAT Bootcamp
I thought this section would be my highest one since I am really good at math but turn out it is one of my lowest. Part of it due to the fact I have wasted 2 minutes to use the restroom 🙁 ( I just recovered from a cold i drank lots water and grrrr). But anywho, math is pretty much simple. However, review on your stats! I got 3 question that ask me about this area.
PAT: DAT bootcamp, Crack the DAT
Practice, practice, and practice!!! I did all the practice tests for both programs, and also included the unlimited questions from bootcamp.
Keyhole: a little bit harder than CrackDAT but easier than Bootcamp.
Top-front-end: very very similar to Bootcamp. I want to shout out loud a big thank to Ari ( Bootcamp founder) to point the fact that counting is no longer useful, but instead you have to try to see the 3D image in your head.
The unlimitted questions from bootcamp prepare you for that.
Hole-punches: I actually enjoy doing this after awhile lol. Crack DAT and bootcamp are both good pratice.
Angle: the real deal is way way to hard and weird 😡. You can't guess nothing from the answers. Angles look soo soo much a like. i have practiced a lot on this area but still struggle with this section.
Cube counting: fairly easy and very doable.
Pattern folding: really tricky, as much as bootcamp. Go through the techniques that they show on bootcamp to practice on this section, I found this very helpful.
Test day tips:
I am not so much of a morning person so I chose to take the test at 12:30. I guess depends on your biological clock, you should decide on the time to take the test, and believe me, it helps a lot! I alway feel the time in the morning pass by so quickly so..., but it's me.
Make sure you wear warm clothes, even it's in the summer! My testing center was super cold, I guess they max the AC or something. Being too cold could distract from focusing.
Snacks! Make sure they gave you enough quick energy but don't make you thirsty ( things that are too salty or too sweet). Do not drink tea or nay diuretic drinks, gosh no, they make you use restroom like crazy and that's so much distractions!
Arrive early, sometimes they even let you take the test early. Also, it calms you down when you are al settled.
That is all I got to share. Wish you guys all best of lucks and I hope it helps!
