Materials used:
1) DAT Destroyer- $70 - used, but good condition and no writing
+ MATH Destroyer - $15 - used, but I wrote all over tests 1-9 (11 tests overall)
This book is where I really re-learned many of the things I had forgotten in the sciences. Practice problems, and truly understanding how to do them is what really drilled things into my head. If this is the case for you when you study, definitely scoop up one of these.
Warning: the problems do tend to be harder than what is on the test, but if you know these well, you'll do great on the real thing. On my second and final run the entire book through I only got about 75-80% correct in the sciences.
Also, the Orgo pathways were freaking awesome.
2) DAT Achiever (Tests 1,2,3)- $ 30
-Purchased July 27th, expires November 24th
-I will give you my login information
This is what I used to time myself for the real thing. It is EXTREMELY HARD. My first, second, and third tests were 15AA,17AA,18AA respectively. However, you can see what it translated into.
I really liked this program because it really challenges you to finish each section on time, with most of the problems being harder than what you'll really face come game day. For the sciences, having another set of practice problems was awesome. It presented me a few things that Destroyer and my AP Bio book had not covered. Where this program really came in handy was with the PAT. This section of achiever really forces you to look at objects in a different light than you might have before using it. The 3D solutions provided were awesome as well. Again, this section was designed to be very challenging and to force you to be over-prepared for the real thing.
3) Cliff's AP Bio -
Has just about all the bio you will need to know for the test. Having taken a class in anatomy recently along with this will really help round you out in bio
4) Kaplan's
Not much to say about this. It is good for an initial warm up if you haven't seen the material in a few years, but not something to spend a majority of your time with.
All of it together: $100 plus paypal fees and shipping.
Goodluck studying!
