Hey everyone. Been an off and on reader of sdn for a while now and never really contributed anything. I pretty much followed the DAT study guide here with a few of my own modification. Thought I'd share some my experience for anyone that it may help..

Bio - 20
Ch - 22
OC - 22
TS - 22
PA - 25
RC - 27
QR - 30
AA - 24

I split studying over course of about 3.5 month averaging maybe 4 hours a day. Started off watching Chad's chem and ochem videos while taking notes on his outlines. As I did that, I also went through all the chapters in Cliff's AP Bio and took extensive notes on each chapter. After about 6 weeks, I went through destroyer broken down into 10 sessions the first time. I found parts of the ochem in destroyer exceedingly hard and had a little trouble the first time through. I took a little break before going over everything a second time and did much better. After this, I did one Crack DAT PAT test and one Math destroyer test a day. I was starting off Crack DAT PAT around 22-23 and ended up in the 25-27 range near the end. Math Destroyer was a bit of a hit or miss. Some of the tests were notably harder than others. I slacked off way too much my last month mainly cause I gave myself too much time and I was a bit burnt out. I went over everything in Destroyer a 3rd time during the last week. On the last day, I did the Kaplan blue book full test and 2007 ADA full test. I found the 2007 ADA way too easy and Kaplan Blue book was still significantly easier than destroyer. I did not have time to go over any Topscore or Achiever. What helped me a lot was making flash cards for things I got wrong on destroyer or I had a particularly hard time memorizing. I did notice that both Kaplan and Dat destroyers had several glaring mistakes that irritated me quite a bit (considering the importance especially the price charged by destroyer). You gotta watch out for those and check with other references if you find any discrepancies.

Overall, I felt the actual DAT's was much easier than the questions on destroyer. If you're doing very well on destroyer, I would say you can feel confidant on the actual test. I actually ignored reading comp for most of my studying period, and was panicking a little bit at the end when I did the practice. I felt like I barely had enough time to answer the questions. I ended up just using the 8min reading 12 min answering method that I've seen here and I found it to work best for me. Good luck on your tests.

BTW, does anyone know how my TS is 22 when I see other people's breakdown at TS 22 with higher Bio, OC and Ch than mine? Seems odd, but I won't complain.
