I was wondering if I could get some advice on if I should retake the DAT. My scores are Bio 17, GC 18, OC, 20, QR 20 RC 15, PAT 22, AA18 TS18. cgpa 3.36, sgpa 3.3 I know my RC is very low but I'm hopping I can get accepted into my state school in which my Dad graduated dental school from. The school says legacy is a tie breaker but I don't know how that really changes anything. I am planning to retake it but I studied so hard just to get these numbers that I am worried I might drop in OC and QR just to raise my RC and Bio.
Any advice would be great, Thanks!

I agree with Alpha. May I ask how you studied/how many hrs a day/materials etc? Perhaps we can give you advice on what worked for us.

The RC score is one of the most important to a lot of schools. So the low score there will probably keep you out of most schools.

I studied for a solid 2 months with no distractions like work or classes. I followed DAT bootcamp 10 week program which was good except for the bio section and reading. I've always had a hard time with RC so I plan on using Kaplan for my retake.

AP Barrons and Feralis Notes are great materials for Bio if you didn't use them. Feralis covers the key anatomy sections that you need to know.

You'll NEED a retake. I recommend joining the groupme chat for some more advice. Pm me your number and I can add you when you have the groupme app

You really want him to see what we talk about in there?:laugh: Or is it the actual productive group chat you are referring to.

And to OP, you would want a retake. Try to aim for 20+ Did you utilize the DAT destroyer?

retake, i know a lot of schools would like to see 18 minimum on each score, but also a higher RC is a good indication you have the reading capacities for dental school.

I think he means the actual DAT study group, lol.
