Thanks foR the suggestion. I am going to buy the ADEA guide book since it looks very helpful.
And haha yea I can give a breakdown for the sciences. I am pretty sure you do not want to hear about the rest considering my scores are pretty low in those areas:
BIO: For this section I read AP Cliffs. But I am pretty sure I read this book a lot differently than other people who read it to study. Most people said they would read a chapter a day or even more. I would try to read a chapter a day but sometimes I would not be able to because it is just too much information in one sitting. I really read the information slowly and sometimes I would rewrite the information on a piece of scrap paper to really make sure I knew the stuff. Because, honestly, it is hard to remember all the biology stuff. For me, I would take a lot of time to memorize the material. Basically, just try to memorize as much as you can from AP Cliffs. There was a lot of human phys material on my practice tests and I would try finding some other source that explains that material better. I also made flashcards whenever there were some facts that just never sticked into my head. So I would make a couple, and basically do the flashcards first thing in the morning when I wake up or right before I go to bed. Actually, whenever I was out somewhere not studying, I would even look over my flashcards then too, but casually. The other big tip I can give to someone is: when you are studying and you come across something that you learned before from ap cliffs or another bio source, and you do not remember what it is....LOOK IT UP. Do not say to yourself, oh I will look it up later because you will not and will forget. I know I did that and a few of my friends would do that too. It comes back and bites you in the ass lol. Lastly, I also did the destroyer for biology. I think all of these questions are extremely helpful for test day. I would make sure you read cliffs once through and then hit the destroyer. This way you build up some background knowledge. There are a lot of questions in the destroyer where you learn A LOT of material. I did not think the destroyer would be helpful, but trust me it is if you can go through it once or twice. Actual test questions can test the same concept but in a different way. On the test, there was a lot of basic questions. Few that I just did not know but I am pretty sure I was able to make a logical choice as an answer.
GC: I watched all of Chad's videos and took extensive notes while watching each video. Even wrote the quizzes down in my notebook too. I have a notebook that is dedicated to Chad's Videos/Quizzes. The man knows what kind of questions the DAT likes to ask. I can thank Chad for my chemistry scores for being so high. I also did the destroyer after watching his videos. Those questions are pretty tough. But I would do 30 questions a day and sometimes a little more. The destroyer was more like a study guide for this section too because I did not know how to do all of the problems. But make sure you try them and be familiar with them. I did learn a lot from the destroyer. A very tricky book. On test day, there were more conceptual questions then math questions. And I think Chad came very helpful when it came to those conceptual questions, which is also why his quizzes are very helpful because they test the same concepts too.
OC: I took this test in september right after the summer had ended. So Orgo 1 and 2 were pretty fresh in my head. On top of that, I like organic so I did not do as much studying for this section. However, I still used chad's videos and quizzes. And all the destroyer problems. I think some of the destroyer orgo problems are more relevant to test questions the GC section. But that is just my opinion. I never really used the road maps. But that may be because I seemed to understand a lot of the things. However, even the night before my test, I decided to look at the road map...and I realized how much I did not know. So i quickly tried to remember every reagent that I did not know. And I am pretty sure it ended up being a good idea because there was one question which had one of the reagents I looked up the night before. So use them if you have trouble!
I hope this was helpful. Good luck to everyone!
