when you've talked to your fellow pre-dental students about the dat, did you guys discover that you had some of the same questions?

for the re-takers, were any of the questions you got on the second test from the first test?

there can only be so many questions that are in the dat database...what do you think about some people claiming some of the questions they got were straight from the dat destroyer?

or the whole "frap" thing, so the people who get that ethics reading comprehension passage must have gotten some of the same questions in biology?

i feel like some of these testing prep companies like dat destroyer, have people take the dats quite often, remember some of the questions from them, and publish them in their book after changing the wording a little bit.

when i talked to someone who had taken the dat a long time ago, he told me that about half of the questions he got on his test were exactly like questions from the old exam dating back the last 5 years.

please share your insights and opinions on this matter.

Its not just Destroyer that has similar test questions to the DAT, all of them do. Some of the other companies (Kaplan, Princeton, etc...) just disguise their questions better and not as bluntly as Destroyer. Its the same thing for ALL the prep courses like the MCAT, not just for the DAT.

perhaps i wasn't clear, this would be hard to do for tests that are offered only at certain times of the year like the mcat or the sat...dat is offered anytime and that makes it A LOT more susceptible to my theory.

what i mean by "did you see the dat destroyer questions on your real dat?" is that were some of the questions you had on the real dat pretty much identical to some of the questions on the dat destroyer. i don't mean if it was "similar test" or was it an accurate representation. i'm talking about oh wow question #5 on my real dat was exactly like the one i saw on the dat destroyer, i didn't even have to read the entire question to answer it.
