Hey everyone.

The application cycle has pretty much cooled down for me, a little more free now than before. Just opening up a thread for anyone who might have DAT questions or application questions in general. Feel free to ask here in this thread so that other people with the same questions can benefit and also so that other people who know the answers can contribute. Alternatively, send me a pm if you are insecure or otherwise uncomfortable with whatever question you may have. 😉

Can I borrow your brain, when I take the DAT?

No you may not borrow my brain 🙂, but I can sell you the #2 pencils I used while I was studying for a cool grand each. Gotta start saving up for dschool you know? They may not be the exam pencils as the exam is computerized, but they stuck with me throughout the whole month I studied, you ever heard the phrase these pencils have a brain of their own? 😉

Glad I'm not the only one with a lucky pencil! I've been using the same pencil for Orgo I, Physics 2, Orgo 2 and Microbiology and many more classes later and I'm not letting this guy go!

I actually think it's some form of mild neurosis, as I start freaking out when I go to study and can't find the damn thing.

When can you actually START the application cycle? Can you not even start the application until June when it opens?

Pretty much. The only things you can and should start earlier are the personal statement and getting letters of rec.
